NWTF Outreach Event Manual
Wheelin' Sportsmen events allow everyone to get involved in the outdoors, and
there are a number of opportunities to get your chapter involved in the program.
From getting your event started to how to work with the local media, this manual
is a great guide for getting your event off the ground. To download your copy
of the manual click here.

Public Service Announcements
Print Public Service Announcements (PSAs) are a great way to promote NWTF membership,
local events, banquets and news. They are great for local newspapers, which will
typically run them free of charge. These PSAs are in full color and each has a
simple, yet important, message. Click
here to view available PSAs.
Public Relations
When promoting your Wheelin' Sportsmen events, use the fill in the blank press
release approximately three weeks prior to your event. Send it to the area newspapers
and television stations with the appropriate event information. Three to four
days before your event, follow up with the fill in the blank media alert. Following
up your press releases and media alerts with phone calls is always a good idea
to make sure the media outlets have received your information and have your event
on their coverage calendar.
If you have an event you would like the PR team to help you promote, fill out
the News Tip Form, and e-mail it to
Brent Lawrence, blawrence@nwtf.net or fax it to her,
(803) 637-0034. Filling out and submitting the News Tip Form does not guarantee
PR team help.
